Inspirational quotesDo you feel stuck? That’s okay. We all feel a little stuck sometimes. You might just need a good push. What works for me hopefully works for you as well; I like to read inspirational quotes. They motivate me in ways that I sometimes can’t do myself. Occasionally I even get an important life lesson out of it. I hope it’s the same for you. Have fun reading these inspirational quotes!

Sometimes you need a little pick-me-up. You might be down in the dumps right now! Are you stuck on a project, depressed, or is something else bringing you down? Read these inspirational quotes to lift your spirits and get you back on your feet. Personally, I haven’t found a better way to improve my mood than reading quotes from people that have done it all before. It makes me feel like—since other people have done it— I can get through whatever I’m working through as well. I hope you feel the same way, and that you can actually get something out of these inspirational quotes as well.

Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn is seen as a woman with perfect natural beauty, but she was so much more than that. She experienced World War 2 firsthand, and said herself she very much could relate to Anne Frank. At the time of the war, she lived in the Netherlands, where she was performing ballet to raise money for the Dutch resistance. Although most people know her from her phenomenal acting and looks, most of her work was focused on humanitarian aid. Hepburn loved to help. She possessed a drive that most people don’t have. She herself once said “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible!” Hepburn always saw the bright side of everything.

Albert Einstein

As a scientist, Einstein was always working on finding logical solutions for everything. However, he never lost sight of things that matter. He once said, "Try not to become a man of success but a man of value.” Einstein was very successful. He has proved several theories. He has made several discoveries that we still benefit from today, but he never once lost who he really was. He always stayed true to himself, like a man of value would. What we personally get from this inspirational quote is that it’s okay to chase your dreams, but to never lose sight of who you truly are. Don’t forget your roots!

Oprah Winfrey

Oprah climbed her way to the top singlehandedly, and for this we look up to her. She had her own show that millions of people watched, and these days she owns her own magazine and is the CEO of her very own television network called OWN. Although Oprah has moved on from her previous iconic show, she still is a force to be reckoned with. Winfrey once said, “If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.” What we take from this is that you should be happy with what you have. Striving for things is great, but you should never take what you have for granted.

Helen Keller

You might find the name “Helen Keller” in our other article “love quotes,” but Helen has said a lot more inspiring things than just that one quote. That’s why we also included her in this article. The blind, deaf woman certainly knew what she was talking about when it comes to life and living. She said, “We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.” That is of course absolutely true! If you continue doing what you’re doing for a long enough time, you will eventually succeed and see progress. This goes for anything; something small as working out will give you a more muscular build, eating healthy will result in weight loss, and so on.

Michael Jordan

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed,” said famous basketball player Michael Jordan. This inspirational quote just shows that it’s okay to fail sometimes. You learn from your mistakes, just like Jordan did. He didn’t wake up one day a basketball superstar. That took work and determination! It took falling and getting back up, just like you should.

Wayne Gretzky

Hockey player Wayne Gretzky isn’t just good on the ice, but also has a way with words. His inspiring quote goes like this: “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” Which certainly rings true. How many opportunities have you come across that you just didn’t say yes to? How many more are you going to decline in the future? If you see an opportunity present itself: act! Just go with it. If it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end of the world. If it does work out, congratulations!

Steve Jobs

The loss of Steve Jobs is a tragic one, but fortunately he did leave us with his wisdom and of course his technology. Apple products are used all over the world! Jobs got this far because he had a true passion for technology and his job. Jobs once said, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” If you’re stuck in a dead-end job and don’t know what to do… maybe this inspiring quote will give you the motivation you need to quit. Get out there, find something that you love doing! If you love doing the things you do, you’ll get more enjoyment out of your job.
