Tattoos are a topic with which more people are dealing with today than ever before. Nearly every second teenager is tattooed nowadays and almost everyone thinks about the art that will stay forever.
First of all, it must be said that tattoos can have very different functions and meanings. On the one hand, literature calls them a symbol of membership and ritual or sacred symbol.
Tattoos today can also be used as an expression of exclusivity, self-expression, addiction, and uniqueness (see also Bourdieu). As a means to improve sexual stimulation, jewelry, protest (punk), and last but not least political opinions are used. Sexual attitudes are also
expressed through tattoos.
Tattoos can be used in any way like for medicine, cosmetics, religion, permanent make-up, or for identification like by animals.
A survey showed that a third of all women already have a tattoo or are still thinking about getting one. The other third of the girls do not want a tattoo and the rest want one and are superior but are afraid to get one because this kind of art was regarded quite differently in the past.
In former times only men or also criminals were tattooed. It means that in the past it wasn’t viewed in society if women have tattoos. Possibly in such little culture in Asia, it was standing for the position in the group but here in the North Europa it was not usually, it comes to us with the time.
Nowadays this is no longer the case, despite that society does not accept every kind of tattoo on women.
It is still not known who the exact inventors of tattoo art were. Because this art was in every corner in the world at the same time. This kind of art was in every culture of the era at the same time but without connections to the other culture or tribe.
This website is dedicated to the topic of girl's tattoos. It is mainly about encouraging, enlightening, and maybe even inspiring girls and women.
On this page, I first explain what happens if you get stung. You must not forget that everybody is different, but the skin is different between men and women in particular, so the healing process of girls tattoos is different from that of boys.
Both boys and girls have to take care of their tattoos, especially in the long term.
But in order to get a tattoo, you have to do exactly what you want to do and which style suits you best.
